Program Principal in the Georgia Center for Assessment (GCA) at UGA and has accountability for the following areas: 1) the vision, leadership and implementation of enterprise-wide portfolio and project management and six-sigma based process improvement; 2) the vision, leadership, supervision, management, and oversight for the GCA Programming and Production Divisions; 3) leadership and oversight for lifecycle replacement, continuous improvement and increased efficiencies; and oversight of data management, IT project management, application development, system administration, statistical analysis, and reporting for the statewide Georgia High School Graduation Test and the Gateway Assessment.

Responsible for the delivery and support of core IT services and the strategic planning and investment for core goals and services to assure appropriate alignment of resources and investments with the core mission and strategic directions of the University including leadership and oversight for a $25M Budget and 300 Staff.Effectively delivered IT service at established service levels for Core IT services including: ERP & application development, data management, customer care/support, infrastructure/data center operations, information security, portfolio/project management, networking & telephony, system administration, and public relations/communications.Provided leadership for the 5-Yr Investment Strategy including capital and human resource investments in concert with the campus strategic planning efforts, Master Planning process and IT budgeting process.Additionally served as interim Associate CIO for Application Development and Data Management in 2010-2011 (led a 70 member team that was responsible for Administrative, Student, and Financial Systems)Initiated industry-standard project management and quality assurance processes and procedures. Responsible for the Quality Assurance and Control processes for tracking and monitoring client project requests, and coordination and compliance with UGA and state audit authorities. Provided vision, leadership, and oversight for core administrative applications planning, development and implementation activities for UGA’s Financial Information Systems, Human Resources and Payroll Systems, Student Information Systems, and Student Financial Systems In preparation for UGA’s transition to next-generation financial and student systems, developed a strategic alignment plan for the 70 staff in the EITS department responsible for UGA core financial and student system applications. Ensure that administrative functions comply with applicable university, state, and federal regulations.

Responsible for the delivery and support of core IT services including: application development, data management, statistical analysis, information security, project management, networking, programming, and system administration. Leadership for the evaluation, planning, budgeting and deployment of new and/or replacement technologies for UGA’s core infrastructure and architecture, networks, systems and applications, including personnel requirements; effectively deliver IT service at established service levels. Designed, evaluated, planned, budgeted, and implemented new and replacement technology for UGA's major shared institutional computing and data communications facilities.Monitored the demand for new service offerings and satisfaction with existing service offerings on campus by maintaining relationships with key clients, participating in campus-wide forums and requesting focus groups and surveys. Leadership for all EITS, budget planning and management, human resources, service delivery, and project delivery.

Provided leadership for the evaluation, planning, budgeting and deployment of new and/or replacement technologies for UGA’s core infrastructure and architecture, networks, systems and applications, including personnel requirements; effectively deliver IT service at established service level. Leadership, administration, management, and supervision of the UCNS Consulting and Application Support division comprised of Research and Computational Science Support, Enterprise Application Support, and Instructional and Multimedia Support.

Managed the UCNS Academic Applications department and coordinated the support and delivery.

Managed the centralized departmental computer support services. Functioned as the clearinghouse for all services, assigned tasks, supervised unit employees, and set priorities on all service requests.

Coordinated and directed research project design including database design, development, management, and statistical analysis from numerous primary and secondary sources; supervised technical and other support employees; and produced and presented written and oral reports.
