I’m a well-recognized veteran with 30 years of experience in the energy sector. Best known for my extensive connections and in-depth understanding of the solar energy industry, I also bring expertise in utility smart grid solutions, utility-integrated distributed generation, power purchase agreements, demand side management, energy storage, power quality, and energy efficiency. My team at Energy Productivity Inc. provides strategic services to power consumers and project developers who seek to improve production, delivery, and efficiency of existing power systems or to successfully implement new large-scale energy projects. We are seasoned professionals with expertise in power quality and efficiency solutions, renewables, and commercial and utility grid reliability. We also have extensive experience in launching new companies and bringing innovative technologies to market. Prior to founding Energy Productivity Inc., I served as vice president and chief operating officer of Solar Frontier. I oversaw operations in the Americas and was responsible for commercializing a breakthrough thin-film solar module. I was also president of the U.S. market for Canadian Solar, and in that role, I built a national sales team and launched the marketing and financing programs for the region. In addition to directing sales and marketing efforts within the U.S., I supported global emerging markets for both Solar Frontier and Canadian Solar. Before joining Canadian Solar, I helped launch SunEdison and later served as senior manager of strategic business development. Over a six-year period, I helped develop the company’s strategic plans, business practices, and founding solar contracts. I began my career in solar energy in the early 1980s, and later worked for some of the nation’s largest energy equipment and services providers, including Johnson Controls, Osram/Sylvania, and Westinghouse.
