★ Wrote and defended Masters thesis of original research: a Gate-to-Gate Life Cycle Assessment of Ionic Liquid Pretreatment for Lignocellulosic Biomass. ★ Conducted scenario analysis for thesis research by varying three precipitating agents, two ionic liquid pretreatment routes, and two recovery methods for chemical recovery (direct evaporation and supercritical fluid extraction).★ Used Aspen Plus to simulate low-energy separation of CO2 and a precipitating agent after supercritical fluid extraction.★ Devised methods for sample collection from supercritical fluid extraction experiments followed by analytical testing with HPLC, TGA, NMR, and UV-vis. spectroscopy★ Performed intricate experiments supporting final stages of doctoral candidate's research (in same research group)Performance Highlights☆Published Masters thesis after performing research in an accelerated schedule.
