Produced and improved a Stars Predictive Model that is utilized across the company to evaluate Humana’s Plan Quality and Performance Ratings for the Medicare Advantage Stars Rating system.Collaborated with Pharmacy to show their leadership how changes they made to formulary and benefits affect CAHPS scores. Findings were presented to executive leadership and follow up analyses were completed. Analyzed how Humana’s transition to Value-Based Care has affected our HEDIS, Patient Safety and CAHPS Stars scores. This work generated conversations across the company with parts of the findings included in an annual press release for two years running.

Responsibilities include ad hoc consulting, updating monthly Medicaid reports and background research. Ad hoc consulting experience includes short and long term projects involving collaboration with other Humana departments in order to give them the analytical and strategic support that they need to improve the health of Humana's members. Medicaid reports are updated using SAS and Excel, these reports primarily involve HEDIS measures. Our team is also heavily involved in creating predictive models. The Stars and Quality team provides analytical support for everything that has to do with Humana's CMS Medicare Star ratings.
