Repeatedly working with stakeholders to overcome issues as they arose.Plans APN is the single busiest private APN within O2.• Implemented a multi-site OpenVPN Mesh network as well as multiple endpoints for external users to connect into.

Responsible for the delivery of technical solutions while building strong client relationships ensuring customers' expectations are managed. Delivering technical training and consultancy incorporating Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012), PL/SQL and Oracle.• Requirements gathering• Development of specifications for the delivery of bespoke solutions and data migration projects• Delivery of technical solutions for customers according to specification• Providing guidance on testing procedures for acceptance of the technical solution• Developing installation and user guides for bespoke solutions• Report development (SQL Server Reporting Services)• Using Unity (Tribals ETL product) to synchronise data from external sources, eg from UCAS HE into EBS (Tribals solution)• Liasing with third party providers with a view to synchronising their data into our product\ adding value.• Delivering training for Microsoft Workflow and advising on best practice.Key Achievements• Created a system to enable import of data from UCAS Progress into EBS. • Assisted a specific college with a system that enabled them to take online applications via a portal they had designed in Drupal through a combination of webservices and data warehousing which transformed the data into EBS.• Merged the bulk of the data for Deeside and Yales colleges into College Cambria via an ETL solution and had this synchronise the three ways based on specific rules.

Creating software used by major companies such as Domino Printing Ink, Univar, Unilever and Proctor and Gamble.• Planning, managing and overseeing the implementation of new features in the products ChemlabelPro and MySDS as well as working with enterprise customers to understand their requirements and translate this into software design• Worked on taking the new product ‘Exposure Scenario Professional (ESPro)’ to market. This product is aimed at customers need to author, import and export Exposure Scenarios.• Internal IT - Rebuilt the Safeware domain, implemented smart card login, setup remote desktop services (including a gateway server) for remote workers as well as completing an implementation of Dynamics CRM (including port from Goldmine), Dynamics Nav and wrote custom code to push and pull various data between the two using not only Microsoft's official connector but also my own bespoke code to accomplish requirements the connector could not.• External companies - oversaw the implementation of a hosted solution using HyperV and RemoteApp over a Remote Desktop Gateway to enable customers to have the bespoke applications we develop hosted.• Tasked in 2008 with the creation of a new piece of software "ChemlabelPro" to produce labels using existing SQL database (Database is populated by our regulatory package 'Safemix'). • Fully familiar with writing SQL- stored procedures, functions as well as cursors to clean data issues\fix bugs.Key Achievements• Took over re-development management of existing portal for distribution and dissemination of data (My-SDS - www.my-sds.co.uk). This project was already underway and falling behind schedule. Scaled back original plans to ensure a functional product was launched to meet exacting deadlines. Subsequently managed MySDS through many iterations.

Consultancy for companies such as Pitman Training Coventry, Rothenberger UK and NextNM. • Created designs within client specifications - built workstations, deployed OS' and setup the domains, where necessary virtualising legacy systems for which there was no upgrade path as they were no longer supported.• Maintained and planned full solutions for these companies to serve their individual requirements. Key Achievements• Gained new business and designed systems for them from scratch, building machines\servers setting up email servers and domains with security as required by the companies.• Built an outstanding reputation for ‘going the extra mile’ to significantly reduce downtime for customers.

Reading, United Kingdom

• Worked with the WIPS team (Windows Intellectual Property Security), a division of WinRel (Windows Release), to track down where leaks of intellectual property into the public domain had originated.• Exposed to new technologies such as Longhorn which became Windows Vista\Server 2008 and Office 12 (2007) far prior to their release Key Achievement• Awarded as special recognition for conducting an investigation and identifying a vendor via a sting operation that had been leaking confidential information to the public domain for several years.

Syracuse, New York Area

• Recruited to plan Transcion through a transition from a workgroup based 9x network to a Windows 2000 Server Domain.• Delivered user education on security permissions, initial configuration of group policy, DNS, DHCP, active directory as well as creating user templates.• Planned and deployed an SQL 2000 server to replace their ageing SQL Server 6.5. Created management tasks to ensure this database had indexes which were kept optimised and backed up.
