I am the Director at open source specialist digital agency Code Enigma. As open source specialists we are naturally leaning towards social and environmental goals and outcomes. We specialise in designing, delivering, hosting and supporting high quality Internet solutions, predominantly built using the Drupal content management system, though we work with a whole range of open source software. We work with organisations of all shapes, sizes and budgets. As long as the Internet is central to completing your goals and you're doing positive things in the world, we are a good fit.I work with a team of excellent open source software experts, and between us we offer a whole variety of different services and products focused around developing for and supporting clients who have chosen to embrace open source software and platform their business on products such as Drupal. Aside from general direction, my responsibilities include consultancy, training, project management and new business.My most recent history prior to Code Enigma is as a consultant and lead software developer, working with Drupal for several years as development team lead in two companies before striking out on my own. Management and development experience includes websites and software applications, managing full project life-cycle, multiple products simultaneously, managing development teams, outsourcing, development strategy and technology selection.

I did the majority of my work in this capacity for the first couple of years, working some of the time on contracts for my company, CMS Professionals, and some of the time on work for other companies, including providing PHP training to the European Commission Joint Research Centre in Italy and various Drupal development jobs. However, my commitment to Code Enigma saw me effectively wind up my auto-entrepreneurship to take a formal permanent position as Director there.

During my time there I oversaw the completion of the core product, guided its future development and introduced the organisation to other product/project management methodologies and development approaches they had not previously considered, thus facilitating a smoother and quicker development process.It was also at Rareface that I first began using Drupal, moving their legacy proprietary platform over to Drupal 5.
