Co-Founder And Managing Director

Current

France

Having merged CMS Professionals with some other Drupal companies back in 2010 to found Code Enigma, it has been my sole focus ever since. We offer high-quality open source web software and supporting services to organisations who deem their Internet presence to be business critical.

Oct 2010 - Present

Consultant

Nottingham, England, United Kingdom

CMS Professionals is a UK-based private limited company for which I am Managing Director and owner. Prior to Code Enigma it was a full service web agency, however it is now a contract vehicle for any IT consultancy work I do.

Contributor

For many years I have contributed code and time to the Drupal project, to forward Drupal as an enterprise-ready CMS.

Auto-Entrepreneur

Drupaler.Fr

Uzès, France

When I moved to France I registered as the French equivalent to a sole trader in the UK, auto-entrepreneur. I did the majority of my work in this capacity for the first couple of years, working some of the time on contracts for my company, CMS Professionals, and some of the time on work for other companies, including providing PHP training to the European Commission Joint Research Centre in Italy and various Drupal development jobs. However, my commitment to Code Enigma saw me effectively wind up my auto-entrepreneurship to take a formal permanent position as Director there.

Apr 2009 - Sep 2011

Owner

Drupaler

London, United Kingdom

As a sole trader in the UK I worked under this banner, doing a mixture of LAMP development, Drupal development, intranet applications, Web 2.0 sites, consultancy, management and training. Since I moved to France, this "entity" no longer exists.

Training Consultant/Trainer

Head Of Product Development

Rareface

London, United Kingdom

Rareface was one of the world’s leading providers of social networking software, responsible for such websites as the US-based NASCAR sensation, Infield Parking and Playboy UK’s unique and high-profile concept, creating a website where a modelling contest meets an online community, to name but a few.Reporting to the company board and investors, in a consulting capacity, my role at Rareface was to keep development of all of our products on track, on time and to budget. As well as making recommendations on the future of the software, important technology choices and building and managing a development team, I also regularly met with clients and was involved in sales engagements. During my time there I oversaw the completion of the core product, guided its future development and introduced the organisation to other product/project management methodologies and development approaches they had not previously considered, thus facilitating a smoother and quicker development process. It was also at Rareface that I first began using Drupal, moving their legacy proprietary platform over to Drupal 5.

Dec 2006 - Nov 2007

Head Of Product Development

Infield Parking

Charlotte, North Carolina Area

Infield Parking is a NASCAR community that was at one time part-owned by Rareface, running the unique Rareface social networking software package. The website continued to exist until late 2011 and was a popular hub for NASCAR fans.
