Drank is an iOS app that is great for jotting quick notes about any beer you've tried so next time you know whether or not to get it again.While creating this app, I've learned a lot about Cocoa Touch, databases, and, most importantly, focusing on the little details in an app.

I was accepted into the Technology Corporate Development Program, where I receive special training and unique opportunities to learn and network in addition to my role as a QA Analyst. As a QA Analyst, I have been involved in writing and executing test scripts for several major projects as well as minor software changes. As part of my role, I have learned quite a bit about HP NonStop/Tandem systems.

Applied Investment Management, class XXXI was an analyst covering two stocks for the AIM portfolio of $5 million, which is a part of the Notre Dame endowment. I covered Tempur-Pedic (TPX) and Google (GOOG). In class, we analyzed each company from a fundamental perspective and created a DCF model, which was the basis for our investment decisions.

Innovation Park is a research park/business incubator that is tied to the university. Their goal is to help commercialize ideas coming out of Notre Dame and members of the Notre Dame family. They opened in October of 2009, so I spent some of my time over the summer helping with issues related to the grand opening and other start-up necessities.I spent a good portion of my time screening business plans of potential clients, which I find very interesting. I also spent quite a bit of time helping with the infrastructure, with a large aspect of that involving Salesforce.com. I worked with another intern to develop a custom app in Salesforce that will allow us to easily track the investment processes across multiple angel funds that Innovation Park provides administrative support to. I also was given the opportunity to help with the diligence work that was done prior to an angel investment that one of those funds made, which was a very rewarding opportunity.I most recently worked on the semi-annual portfolio update of a seed fund Innovation Park administers. I contacted all of the entrepreneurs and sponsors to put together an update to the investors in the fund.

I spent most of my summer working independently to develop plans to pass five Cisco certification exams. I studied for and passed all exams on my first attempt. I obtained the following certifications: - CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) - CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) - LCSE (Cisco Life Cycle Services Express) - SMBE (Small and Medium Business Engineer) - SBCSEN (Smart Business Communication Systems for Engineers)

This summer, I was placed in the lead role of the new Managed Services division of Network People, which served roughly 30 clients. I researched and perfected the software application (Level Platforms) and process of Managed Services offerings. I also made presentations to senior staff and employees teaching them the benefits of the application.
