Greg is an academic General Practitioner with an interest in primary care research and medical education. He has received a number of personal National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) awards including a Doctoral and Academic Clinical Lecturer Fellowships. He completed his medical training in Nottingham before going onto postgraduate studies in Oxford and Liverpool then worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Cambridge. He has also previously sudied as a Global Clinical Scholar at Harvard University.Research interestsGreg's research interests have focused on developing and evaluating complex interventions for use in primary care. He has experience in systematic reviews, randomised trials, observational studies along with qualitative research approaches. His medical education interests have focused on global health, knowledge exchange and role modelling. External engagementGreg has previously served on the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) Medical Technology Advisory committee, the UK National Screening Committee and the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Council. He has also worked at the World Health Organization (WHO) information, evidence and research cluster. He is Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and is a past recipient of the highly prestigious John Fry and Yvonne Carter awards for primary care research.
