In 12-week process, reorganized one large assembly floor into six linear work cells with specialized functions for each product line, eliminating 700 inactive tubs (out of 1,483) and introducing new labeling system for immediate identification of needed parts. Introduced bench risers to organize small parts at each work station and replaced 1930's-era tools with ergonomic and assembler-friendly hand and pneumatic tools, improving employee productivity and efficiency. Changes allowed the same amount of staff to produce more than 5 times as much product in the same time.>>Next, re-organize existing warehouse space as part of 12-week project to support need for increased storage space for company and client products. Created plan and personally installed 40-foot racks to hold product, increasing warehouse capacity by 40-50%.
