Garner is an industrial fabricator specializing in plastic injection molding of small- to medium-sized parts, precision machining of metals and plastics, custom tool building, and wire EDM services utilizing ISO 9001:2008 certified quality management processes. Company also produces BinMaster level controls to detect and measure materials.Promoted to Warehouse Manager/Shipping & Receiving Manager in recognition of work performance. Supervised four employees -- including two janitors responsible for all facilities. Hired and trained new employees. Oversaw all volume in/out (in excess of $14M in sales volume). After economic downtown of 2008 affected Big Dog Motorcycles' order volume, brought back into main plant as the 5S Manager and assigned to special projects designed to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.>> For first project, overhauled BinMaster level control production area. In 12-week process, reorganized one large assembly floor into six linear work cells with specialized functions for each product line, eliminating 700 inactive tubs (out of 1,483) and introducing new labeling system for immediate identification of needed parts. Introduced bench risers to organize small parts at each work station and replaced 1930's-era tools with ergonomic and assembler-friendly hand and pneumatic tools, improving employee productivity and efficiency. Changes allowed the same amount of staff to produce more than 5 times as much product in the same time.>>Next, re-organize existing warehouse space as part of 12-week project to support need for increased storage space for company and client products. Created plan and personally installed 40-foot racks to hold product, increasing warehouse capacity by 40-50%. Implemented freight staging area adjacent to shipping docks for increased shipping capacity.
