Ever since my father introduced me to coding via BASIC on an Atari 800, I've been immersed in the evolving world of technology - from downloading Star Trek ASCII art on a 300 baud modem, to managing closet-sized HP/UX servers, and spearheading projects which seamlessly transitioned legacy enterprise UNIX applications to modern web applications. As the lead engineer at F5, I drove the challenging task of porting a decade's worth of Python automation to a new, modular architecture, underlining my proficiency in network protocols such as TCP/IP, QUIC, Diameter, and HTTP. My unique approach of creating my own network stacks has proved to be an effective strategy in exposing vulnerabilities in others. My additional passion lies in DevOps and internal tool development. I thrive in settings where my lifelong coding and DevOps experience facilitates others' work. I consider a day well spent if I have managed to unblock my team members and enabled them to progress.A standout project was when I devised a backup and recovery system for F5's Perforce VCS and implemented multi-site redundancy. This ensured uninterrupted access to version control through robust backups and seamless failovers which we executed on a quarterly basis.I find purpose in delivering projects that offer peace of mind to my team, enhance our workflow efficiency, and ultimately, improve our quality of life. As a dedicated Lead Senior Software Engineer, I'm always eager to tackle the next challenge.
