I am a proud graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Technology - Biotechnology program at Fanshawe College, which I completed in April 2015. Through this program I have gained extensive theoretical knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience relating to organic, instrumental, and analytical chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, food science, virology, immunology and more. Some of the major projects I worked on in this program include an analytical thesis on the phytoremediation of explosives using transgenic plants, a self-made experiment to develop transgenic plant tissue, and a business plan regarding my original idea to use encapsulated microbes to remediate explosive contaminated land. I would describe myself as a highly motivated, creative and trustworthy individual who excels when working with others. My education and work experience have only made me more aware of my passion and dedication for biotechnology and related sciences and technology. I am very proud of the achievements I made while earning my degree and look forward to making even greater achievements in my biotechnology career.
