I graduated from the State University of Oswego with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting in 2013, and I was fortunate enough to immediately find a job as a staff accountant at Saratoga Casino & Raceway. After spending about two years there, followed by another year at Pamal Broadcasting, I decided accounting was not the career I wanted to pursue. I ended up taking a position at Old Chatham Sheepherding Company, now known as Old Chatham Creamery, where I have been for the last three years. Since working there, I have experienced the daily challenges and difficulties of working in a production facility. These challenges include proper cleaning and sanitation, monitoring milk quality, creating and implementing cheese and yogurt recipes, and ensuring efficient conditions for cheese aging. Through hard work and collaboration, the team and I there have overcome these difficulties and created award winning yogurt and cheeses. My time working at Old Chatham Creamery has shown me that my passion lies in creating exceptional food and beverage products that enhance the lives of customers. I believe that my knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and production techniques will allow me to assimilate easily into any team and excel at any tasks that are required of me.
