-Familiar with the general concepts and responsibilities of Quality Assurance.-Familiar with Audit checklists and the use the following techniques to perform audits: Read, interpret and understand technical documents, processes and procedures.Screen for accuracy and completeness of all related documentation. Ensure effective follow-up and trend analysis of discrepancies. -Review incoming technical publications and directives to determine their application to the maintenance department.-Assist in the certification of production personnel.-Review qualifications of personnel nominated to become Collateral Duty Inspectors (CDI) and Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representatives (CDQAR) and provide appropriate recommendations. -Provide technical assistance to CDI's and production personnel who are required to make QA decisions. Periodically accompany CDI's on inspections to evaluate their performance.-Conduct final inspections upon completion of tasks requiring certification by QARs. -Familiar with conducting Things Falling Off Aircraft (TFOA) inspections.-Ensure that all Functional Check Flights (FCF's) are briefed/debriefed ensuring that the work center, maintenance control and the Functional Check Pilot be present and documented as such on the test card, FCF log and brief sheet.
