As a public school administrator, I have seen my area of responsibility change from managerial to instructional leadership. In this age of accountability it is important that the principal keep current with trends in education, brain/learning research, school improvement, and best practices. The curriculum that the school provides must be rigorous in nature with multiple opportunities for students to succeed and master concepts. It must be relevant to what is going on in today's society and students need to make connections with the "outside" world. All students must have a point of access, that is an adult in the building that they feel comfortable in talking with when needed. By providing the Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships needed in educating today's child, one will see the child attain the desired Results. To that end we continue to work with students to become life-long learners, able to problem solve, think creatively and live independently.Specialties: Experience and Strengths in:Ohio Teacher Evaluation System/Credentialed EvaluatorRaising Student Academic AchievementOhio Improvement ProcessHope 4 the WoundedThe Literacy CollaborativeInstructional LeadershipCurriculum and Program DevelopmentStrategic PlanningSpecial Education Site-Based ManagementBudgetingImproving Staff and Student Climate/MoraleCommunity Involvement
