Ph.D Researcher and Internal lead for Hydrogen technologies, specifically for UAV and aerospace implementations. Direct oversight of a novel testing facility was carried out with proper safeguards in accordance with local, state, NFPA, and CGA regulations. Ph.D Thesis was compartmentalized into 3 units: Solid, Liquid, and Gas phase implementations of Hydrogen. Solid: Worked in close conjunction with private suppliers & Army Research Lab, regarding Aluminum-Tin nano-galvanic powders capable of generating hydrogen at kinetically stable rates. Other Aluminum Alloys & Metal Hydrides were studied and evaluated on their ability to produce hydrogen under variable conditionsLiquid: Communicated with Industry leaders and regulatory bodies for the purposes of implementing a Pilot scale, cryogenic hydrogen liquefier. Storage and scale up of liquid hydrogen systems were carried out, meetings with industry leaders like Quantum & Ball Aerospace. Gas: Utilized High Purity 99.99999% Hydrogen in Proton Exchange membrane fuel cells for purpose of powering UAV's. Compressed, 5000Psi, Hydrogen cylinders, and hydrogen generated from nano-galvanic powders were used to fill on board/and lab top storage systems. Mass & Energy balances were considered & used for flight/fuel optimization.
