After the relationship was established, and with the support of bank management, I trained branch personnel to refer customers with pre-approved car loans to AutoBuyRite. Dealing directly with the customer, I contacted a dealer from my network, and negotiated the best price. A major component of my bank relationship was assurance that dealers would not compete with pre-approved loans. As company owner, my focus was on relationships___ securing low pricing from the dealers, and continual referrals from the banks. My success in doing this resulted in increasingly profitable arrangements for all concerned. As an example, in the case of loan origination's, I would source credit applications for banks for a fee. The high point was $850,000 per month in loan volume.• Loan volume grew to $850,000 per month.• Developed a network of banks that produced 50+ new car sales per month.

Thus my employees understood the demand for consistently outstanding service, while rendering credit decisions according to standards generally leaving me to deal with the disappointed dealers — e.g., the demand for approval of an unqualified applicant). I hired, trained, and constantly coached, employees, including goal setting, auditing credit decisions, and always reviewing/evaluating the operating procedures for maximum efficiency (including the employees who implemented the procedures). Managing a $6 million per month in new loan volume, and an 80 million dollar loan portfolio required constant attention to ensure that one interest did not create an adverse affect on the other.• Reduced loan growth to 6 million per month while increasing credit quality.• Delinquency rate of less than 1%.• Loss rate of less than .50 bases points.
