It is a natural home to people, flora and fauna.The BLW Science Committee assesses & funds research proposals to build science designed to keep Bear Lake clean, deep, and blue. This includes detailed monitoring of the condition of Bear Lake, assessing natural and man-made threats to water quality, collecting data from broad sources into a comprehensive data repository to provide ready access to information for both researchers and the public. We work with state & federal agencies, academic research institutes, and universities that have aligned focus and interests in protecting the lake, by developing and using objective scientific data to inform decision-making.
