RefloDx, Inc. is a medical device startup that spun out of the University of Utah with a mission to provide better health through smarter science. The company is focused on bringing their game changing patented SondeFlux™ technology to market, to provide improved care to patients while saving billions in wasted healthcare costs. SondeFlux uses noninvasive ultrasound to detect and differentiate material in the upper esophagus, allowing clinicians to assess a patient’s risk of aspiration from extraesophageal reflux (EER). SondeFlux allows clinicians and caregivers to quickly identify Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) as the underlying culprit in their pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with non-specific throat symptoms.
