As Vanguard’s president and chief investment officer, I have the privilege of leading the teams responsible for all aspects of the firm's investment management, retirement business, and services for financial advisor clients, overseeing the majority of Vanguard's fund and ETF distribution.I am a member of the board of governors of the Investment Company Institute and a member of the Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. I also serve as vice chair of the board of trustees for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. From 2016 to 2024, I was a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.I hold a B.S. in insurance from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. I’m a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
