Lab experience extends to performing immunofluorescence, Golgi staining, dendritic spine counting and morphology analysis, cell counting, microscope work with Bright Field microscopy and confocal microscopy, image acquisition and analysis, conducting electrophysiological recordings, animal husbandry, and animal surgical techniques. The thesis project was centered around the characterization of a type of synaptic plasticity involved in the loss of cholinergic innervation of the hippocampus in Alzheimer's Disease.
