Core Responsibilities:- Serve the customer by providing a drug store and pharmacy that meet and exceed expectations.- Serve the company shareholder by operating an efficient and profitable business.In-Store Job Duties:- Oversee and manage daily drug store and pharmacy operations.- Work with direct reports (pharmacy and store leadership) to improve daily operational efficiencies.- Recruit and hire front end and pharmacy personnel.- Achieve financial and inventory goals through proper execution and organization.- Implement loss prevention techniques to reduce and eliminate shrink and waste.- Ensure availability of merchandise through inventory controls and identification of sales trends.- Maintain operational excellence through execution of company strategies and plans.- Improve professional and technical knowledge and share with leadership to cascade through store operations.- Communicate with peers and supervisors in field management to constantly improve knowledge and efficiencies.- Lead change through consistent in-store development of employees and practices.Off-Site Job Duties:- Enhance knowledge and skill set through community, district and market development sessions.- In partnership with pharmacy management, coordinate and execute off-site immunization clinics.- Visit and present to senior living facilities to enhance community involvement and increase customer base.- Coordinate and execute community events, including educational involvement, health fairs, and local business affairs, amongst others.- Recruit off-site on behalf of Walgreen Co, for retail leadership positions.
