I have been contracted by Peter Lang to provide peer-review services for book proposals in their Studies in Biblical Greek (SBG) monograph series, which seeks to publish the latest scholarly research advancements in biblical studies regarding the exegesis and pedagogy of Old and New Testament Greek. From the publisher’s website: “[This] series is devoted to fresh philological, syntactical, text-critical, and linguistic study of the Greek of the biblical books, with the subsidiary aim of displaying the contribution of such study to accurate [biblical] exegesis.”

In February 2016, I began working as a contract researcher for Docent Research Group, an Austin-based, Christian, non-profit organization, where I worked on research and sermon briefs for Pastor Kevin Cawley of Redeemer Fellowship in Kansas City, MO (http://www.redeemerkansascity.org). I was then promoted to a solo researcher and worked with Lead Pastor Ryan Rice of North Valley Community Church (http://www.northvalleychurch.org). I continued serving in both a solo and team leader research role with Pastor Dr. Bob McCartney of FBC Wichita Falls, TX, a seminal SBC church with over 2,000 members (http://www.fbcwf.org). In all these roles, I essentially serve as an extension to the preaching ministry of these growing churches through providing research, exegesis, and connective tissue to help bring God's Word to life and resonate with contemporary culture.http://www.docentgroup.com.

I was asked to become an adjunct professor of NT/Greek at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) to begin teaching Greek I & II to mostly graduate and some undergraduate students. My role as adjunct professor began Fall 2015. Currently, I have taught 5 courses for SEBTS: GRK2610 - Biblical Greek I Undergraduate Section (Fall 2015 - 3 students); GRK5110 - Biblical Greek I Graduate Section (Fall 2015 - 33 students); IND6930.B1 - Independent Reading and Research (January 2016 - 1 graduate student); GRK2620 - Biblical Greek II Undergraduate Section (Spring 2016 - 3 students); GRK5120 - Biblical Greek II (Spring 2016 - 31 students)

I was voted in as Senior Pastor of Buies Creek, FBC on Nov. 13, 2022. Due to the recent ruling at the SBC national meeting regarding women's roles in ministry and other factors, I resigned my position. My responsibilities involved revitaliziing the children's and youth program including leading and growing a youth ministry from 0 to 12 members in 7 mos. Coordinating various children's ministry events including e=Easter activities and planning, writing curriculum, and leading VBS for the first time since 2019 and seeing 9 children give their lives to Christ; preaching the gospel and loving, serving, shepherding, and discipling the current and future members, students, faculty, and staff of Campbell University and the surrounding communities.

The congregation of Mays Chapel Baptist Church (SBC) in Bear Creek, NC (Part of the historic Sandy Creek Baptist Assoc) called me to be their pastor by a unanimous (100% affirmation) vote on 11-6-16. Since 1802, this church has stood the test of time, and God has used it to be a beacon of gospel hope throughout Chatham and Lee counties for over two centuries. My responsibilities include:1) Loving/Shepherding the Sheep - leading by example in terms of fulfilling Christ command to love one another (John 13:35), bearing one another's burdens (Gal 6:2); and visiting the hurting, downtrodden, and the sick (Matt 25:35–40). Showing/modeling for others how to do the same in an intentional way2) Preaching the Word - (2 Tim 4:2) Faithfully preparing and boldly proclaiming the Word of God through expository preaching: book-by-book, verse-by-verse3) Making Disciples - Leading by example (1 Pet 5) in the task of evangelism and disciple-making through prayer and the various teaching ministries of the church; implementing an intentional outreach program to reach the lost in proximity to Mays Chapel and surrounding communities4) Administration of the Sacraments - faithfully and regularly administering the biblical sacraments of baptism (immersion) and the Lord's Supper, which are visible sermons of the love, mercy, and grace, and obedience we are to have toward Christ and He has toward us5) Leading by Example in Servant Leadership - Modeling the principles of 1 Peter 5 and Mark 10:45 to the congregation, creating future leaders within the congregation in an every-member ministry (2 Tim 2)6) Church Revitalization - help congregation recover its mission and vision for Christ within the Bear Creek and surrounding communities7) Communications - help church establish its identity through the gifts the Lord has given me in marketing and advertising—this includes the design of a logo, website, door hangers for visitation, and other evangelistic media to reach the unchurched

I was ordained into the Gospel ministry by the elders and pastor, Dr. Gregory Lawson, at Union Chapel Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC on Sunday, January 18, 2015 and then served as an Associate Pastor before being called to be the pastor of Mays Chapel Baptist Church. I had previously served as an Assistant Pastor at Union Chapel Baptist Church from January 2014 - to January 18, 2015. Senior Pastor, Dr. Gregory Lawson, (Professor of Christian Education, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) is my mentor. My responsibilities include preparing sermons and preaching as needed, filling in and teaching adult and youth SS classes as needed, leading/teaching youth during AWANA and VBS programs, evangelistic outreach visitation, and assisting church with new ideas surrounding their DVD and internet outreach ministries.Given the proximity and connection through Dr. Lawson to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS), Dr. Lawson has supported me in implementing a mentoring/discipleship ministry to other seminary students involved in the graduate and undergraduate programs at SEBTS through a "preaching club" ministry that provides men who feel God's calling to preach and teach the Word, but who have not yet been called to pastor a church, an opportunity to exercise their gift of preaching in the mutually edifying, sharpening environment of their peers.

Top accomplishments include:1) Successfully launching/managing/growing business in volatile economy since Oct. 2000.2) Consistently growing as a design firm each year while increasing profits and client base.3) Published award-winning 312 page full-color hardcover book, including copywriting, editing, photography, cover design and page layouts4) Developed iPad/iPhone application that revolutionized the hospital gift store sales and product inventory industries5) Landed/successfully completed several government contracts in 2012 for US Military and designed a series of military history books for US Army.6) Landed several key contracts for 2014 including the creation of a highly influential, large scale website for one of the largest gift store suppliers in the world; Prestigious and high profile book cover design for an important book for the US Army that commemorates Medal of Honor recipients, many of whom gave their lives for our country and freedom

I managed their ad agency's creative staff, landed large accounts with Square D electronics and numerous other new clients, led company's creative direction and vision and helped position their firm to be a leading creative agency in their market.

I managed team of Artists/Designers/Photographers as well as all contractors and vendors working with ORNL on design and printing projects. I was responsible for landing work for my department and keeping billable hours high. This was done through marketing my division internally to several federal agencies within the lab including: NASA DAAC, Spallation Neutron Source, DOE, and DOD clients.I gained invaluable experience through working with world-class scientific researchers and assisted with gaining federal funding for national and international research projects such as the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS).

While employed by The Learning Co., an award-winning computer software developer, I held the position of art director. My duties consisted of art direction, managing and mentoring a team of multidisciplined artists and designers, software interface design, illustration, 3d modeling/animation, and competitive analysis. Some of the projects that I led or helped manage were the 1997 release of Time Magazine's Multimedia Almanac, Body Works™, and various foreign language products such as the Learn To Speak™ and Travel Talk™ series.

While employed at Plasti-Line, I held the position of graphic designer/illustrator for the Technical Services’ art dept. My duties consisted of creating both conceptual and finalized illustrations for new products, designing marketing materials such as brochures, posters, cutsheets, kiosk displays, videotape production, vendor coordination, and coordinating/managing all of Plasti-Line’s printing jobs.

While employed by Morrison Communications, I held the position of top layout artist/graphic designer for the advertising pre-press department. My duties consisted of the layout and design for a wide variety of printed products such as school athletic posters, brochures, and 4-color magazines.
