Dr. Lavigne is fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction, specializing in all forms of hip and knee replacement, including anterior hip and MRI guided total knee and total hip arthroplasty and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. In addition, Dr. Lavigne covered level I Trauma call in Pittsburgh for 7 years, giving him vast experience in the management of upper and lower extremity trauma. Prior to his arrival, Dr. Lavigne was employed at Omnipoint Surgical. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and subsequent fellowship in adult reconstruction at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he worked as a teaching attending for residents and fellows for 7 years prior to moving south. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Albany Medical College after graduating from St. Lawrence University with a double major in biological sciences and chemistry. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out and playing softball.
