Served 22 years in the US Air Force (active duty and reserve) retired with the rank of Major. Project officer for several programs and events, many with time sensitive and safety constraints. Advised the Nebraska Air National Guard on KC-135 conversion plans for achieving mission ready status in advance of Wing level and Higher Headquarters directed deadlines. Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA), monitored Civil Air Patrol (CAP) activities and evaluated CAP units for compliance and mission effectiveness. While furloughed from ABX Air for 2-1/2 years worked at: (1) Sinclair Community College, Aviation Technology, adjunct faculty instructor teaching various aviation courses. (2) PESystems as a contractor. Fifteen months acquisition experience in the KC-46A Directorate (previously known as the KC-X Program Office), in Test and Evaluation. Supported highly visible and successful source selection which was completed without protest. (3) Booz Allen Hamilton as a contractor. Three months acquisition experience in the KC-46 Aircrew Training System Directorate. Reviewed simulator and training specifications, aircraft data collection procedures, and submitted recommendations.
