My roots in healthcare are built upon an early start as a bench scientist at the National Institutes of Health and Howard University School of Medicine and through experiences gained within the provider market primarily focused on the Radiology and hospital market while with Eastman Kodak. I served in positions of sales, sales management, and operations with P&L responsibilities. My background in the university, pharmaceutical and biotech market was primarily focused on the genomic market working to establish and grow equipment, software, reagent, and services companies that focused on the entire life cycles of human genome translational medicine. I have mentored startup companies in their infancy stages and introduced them into new and emerging markets. My work in the Federal Health IT market, primarily focused on Health and Human Services while working for Northrop Grumman, Teradata, Vangent now General Dynamics, Optum a division of United Health Group, ManTech and Elevance Health which has yielded an understanding and knowledge of Federal Health and the ability to tie requirements to capabilities and solutions within industry leading companies. In my role of Vice President Alliance Management with Optum, I forged relationships and partnerships to form an ecosystem of companies that join together to pool their talents, capabilities, vehicles and relationships for growth and to meet the mission of the Federal Government. Within ManTech's Health and Fed Civ, Health Division, I was responsible for the HHS portfolio, and also a program in the Army and one in the Navy. Now at Elevance Health focused on Federal Health Growth within Health and Human Services. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Howard University and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University.
