Ensures expenditures are in compliance with federal, state, and university regulations regarding purchasing materials, supplies, or services for various funding agencies.-Responsible for Institute pre-award activities for sponsored research awards, which includes advising grant submission initiatives, including interpretation of specific guidelines & technical information, budget & cost share preparation, initiation of subcontracts, and submission of electronic & paper application documents. -Acts as liaison to Sponsored Research Administration, Research Foundation, funding agencies, funded entities, and other relevant organizations. -Collaborates with Grants Business Manager to manage workflow and establish new project management processes.
