Networking and Firewall management for web-based Ordering, Billing, and Self-Service Solutions business and customer-facing systems.• Implemented a complete firewall and TCP-IP connection request system for developers and support staff from initiation to completion to include testing.• Configured, implemented, tested, and coordinated approximately 100 network connectivity requests per month between applications consisting of firewall openings, IPV4 IP and subnet combinations, port requirements, transfer protocols, directionality, and infrastructure routing requests. Requests also included VPN access for contractors to the organization’s applications. Requests also included our apps to communicate with Verizon Online, as well as requests for routing definitions to establish new routes for Verizon applications and external partners.• In a highly visible position, I became the go-to person to resolve connectivity issues. I managed day to day operations with firewall team, routing team, project managers, development teams, directors, Verizon Online, NAT team, VPN team, proxy team, Verizon liaisons, Verizon Wireless, Interactions, and external business partners. Strong organizational and communication skills. Scheduled and lead numerous meetings with key players from implementation to testing. Trained employees and contractors as needed.• Knowledge of IPV4, subnet masks, transfer protocols, traceroutes and other tools, VPN tunnels and site-to-site connections, and organizing all documents and emails. Worked with proxy team to add approved access to the proxy registry and determined correct proxies to use. • Continued duties in TFS source code repository as outlined in prior job responsibility to include release management and code maintenance.• Coordinated new hardware purchases, hardware installations, and initial software installations.• Key member of a team that received an outstanding dedication award.
