Read. A package handler starts their work day with reading and marking the packaging labels. They also measure and weigh these packages while thoroughly examining to ensure packing specifications are constantly met. Packaging labels are equipped with barcodes which are constantly scanned from the time the package received from the sender up to time it reaches it's destination. It does not only let the client and the company tracks their packages, but also a way to check if it arrives damaged or stolen. Packages goes through another thorough inspection before sending to their specific chutes and ultimately to their specific loading docks. It is here that a handler check for those “incompatibles” or “irregular” packages. Together with defective packages, they are pulled out for resorting and relabeling. Proper handling is needed for these kinds of packages to ensure uninterrupted delivery.Load. Last task is loading these packages to their respective trucks. Since these packages may weigh from one pound up to 150 pounds; this part of the task is considered as the most physically demanding part of the job. Handlers develop ways that prevents packages from being damaged, so definitely not just tossing packages around.These are the three main tasks that package handlers do.

The primary duty of this position is assessing individual project requirements and ensuring the necessary equipment and personnel are available. Set up, adjust, and operate audiovisual equipment such as cameras, film and slide projectors, and recording equipment, for meetings, events, classes, seminars and video conferences.Maintain hardware and software, including computers, scanners, color copiers, and color laser printers.
