The CIB's purpose is to invest $35 billion in revenue-generating infrastructure which benefits Canadians and attracts private capital, across the following priority sectors for investment: green infrastructure, clean power, public transit, trade & transportation and broadband. The CIB is an impact investor, focusing on new infrastructure with outcomes such as, sustainable economic growth and climate change action across Canada.

Originated and structured short and long-term direct or syndicated project financings and corporate banking facilities of all sizes throughout Canada. Primary sectors of focus were power & utilities, renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, biomass) and public/private (PPP) infrastructure. Responsibilities included deal origination, financial structuring, underwriting, as well as managing all aspects of portfolio and business relationships with equity investors, project sponsors, developers, advisors and local/foreign banks.

Financial Statement Analysis (undergraduate and graduate levels)

Based out of the head office in Johannesburg, responsible for supporting corporate marketing and sales excellence team, by developing master plan aimed at improving firm-wide benefits and profitability. Further mandated to co-lead program management office in capturing growth initiatives, tracking their progress and identifying key performance indicators, to ensure sustainable sales and profitability growth. Responsibilities included daily interaction with senior members of Sasol's multiple business units in both South Africa and Germany (Hamburg).

Conducted in depth analysis of political and economic development of countries of the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and North Africa, by assessing their ability to integrate the world economy. Consequently contributed to Research Institute's publication on regime change and economic transformation entitled "From Spring to Revival" by studying and incorporating the impacts of infrastructure as a catalyst of economic growth throughout the region. Further identified potential foreign investment sources, PPPs and other direct investments in order support infrastructure development (transportation, water, energy, telecommunications, social).

Established and developed GE Capital’s presence in the Canadian retail, infrastructure, service and telecommunications industries, initiating business opportunities for structured asset-based debt products, as well as managed all aspects of business relationships with C-level executives of medium to large cap multinational corporations, with annual revenues ranging from C$100 million to C$20 billion.

Developed and implemented Eastern Canada’s sales and marketing tool for leadership team to enable accurate coverage, forecasting and assessment of opportunity costs at all points of sale.
