I had the opportunity to support GO Public Schools through the Policy Advisory Fellowship from Leadership for Educational Equity. Through this role I was able to gain experience as a policy analyst and community organizer. - Currently serve on GO Public Schools’ College Readiness and Eligibility Advisory Board to identify key issues students and parents are facing and strategically develop resolutions by engaging multiple stakeholders in the community.- Conducted research and analyzed data to then establish the five key issues for the policy framework solutions that will be used for GO Public Schools next campaign launch.- Wrote policy briefs and memos for GO Public Schools regarding state-wide legislation like AB1220.- Participated in 15+ LEE sponsored professional events such as the “Campaign Boot camp” where I learned how to organize and run a political campaign & had the opportunity to shadow elected officials.

Taught 9th Grade English for three years at MWA. I worked with the English Department to draft proposals to secure funding for in-class libraries. I aided in designing, piloting and teaching technology and writing enrichment course to equip students with the necessary computer literacy related tools to be successful throughout their high school experience. I have received numerous perfect attendance awards and a dedicated service award for the After-School Support Program. I also drafted proposals as the Yearbook, Chess, and the Art of Expression Club Advisor.
