Today, technological innovation is moving at a rapid pace while data is created at an overwhelming rate. Both trends are prevalent in the financial services industry where leveraging these technologies to analyze vast amounts of data allows firms to identify and implement the best strategies (e.g. for optimal portfolio allocation, quantifying risk, derivatives pricing, etc.). The opportunity to be a part of this new paradigm drives my pursuit of a graduate education in computational finance where I have learned important concepts such as Monte Carlo methods, time series analysis, portfolio optimization, and quantitative risk analysis to name a few. My goal is to incorporate this knowledge along with my programming skills into a role in quantitative research and/or development.I will begin working as a Risk Analyst at IMC Trading starting August 2019.
