August 2017– PresentOctober 1990 – May 1998Manage the only Public Safety Answer Point (PSAP) in Rutherford County. This consists of the county Sheriff’s Office, four (4) municipal police departments, EMS, Rescue (2) and 17 fire departments. Positions held: Telecommunicator, Training Officer, Shift Supervisor, Assistant 911 Director, Addressing Department Manager, 911 Director. I was also a Reserve Deputy/Road Patrol and the first Child Abuse Investigator (grant funded position) established 1995.>Took the first Enhanced “E-911” call with ANI/ALI (in the 1990’s).>Project Manager for the first Computer Aided Dispatch system in 1997. We moved from a punch-card system to CAD. This was the first official technology update from the centers opening in 1982.>Migration to Next Generation 911// ESInet 2019 – Rutherford County is a non-hosted site due to an approved plan to install the Vesta in 2017 with a 5-year contract. >Grant Award/Project Manager: Wrote a grant for the Relocation of our PSAP in 2018. We were Awarded $1.161M from the NC911 Board Grant Committee. Rutherford County invested $786K. In December 2020 we successfully moved from a 3,000 sq ft space, that opened in 1982, to over 8,000 sq ft of a technology advanced 911Operations Center. I was honored to be the Project Manager for this grant. I found the space, coordinated the purchase, was the Architect and GC point of contact, modified the design, chose the finishes, supervised the move of every piece of equipment! Absolutely the most rewarding career accomplishment to date!!>NC911 Grant Committee Member:Honored to serve our PSAP Community as a Grant Committee member during the most recent grant cycle August 2021.>Project Manager: I was privileged to lead a joint committee with the Rutherford County I.T. department to seek, select and install the Second (2nd) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system (which included Records Management and Jail Management) August 2021.
