The Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) is a non-profit South African Internet industry organisation. It was formed in June 1996 and currently represents 145 Internet service providers with a diverse range of services and target markets. Members include non-profit providers and educational networks, as well as commercial service providers.ISPA is run by a Management Committee, made up of representatives from ISPA member organisations. The Management Committee is elected by members at ISPA's annual general meeting. ISPA maintains a web site at http://www.ispa.org.za(The chair is an elected member of the Management Committee)

In early 1996, I founded CyberSurf Technologies, a Durban-based ISP focusing on the residential and small business markets. I sold CyberSurf to ITI Online in April 1999.During this period, I also consulted to numerous other ISPs, advising on and assisting with their technical infrastructure.
