For over 30 years I have enjoyed working with students, faculty and staff at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I have served in leadership roles at the college for almost half of my career, either by leading a special committee or task force, serving as a department chairperson, or working in the dean's office. These positions give me the opportunity to make a positive contribution on a stage much larger than the classroom. The higher education industry faces new and significant challenges these days, and I enjoy working with others to meet those challenges and improving on the wonderful educational experience we provide to our students.Specialties: Digital Marketing, Not-for-Profit Program Evaluation, Information Technology and Consumer Behavior.

We published the 10th edition of the book in December, 2014, and an international student edition in 2015. Carol Pollard, Professor of Information Systems at Appalachian State University has assumed the role of lead author role on the project for the upcoming 11th edition. Dr. Pollard and I are excited to be working with a talented team of editors at Wiley on what will be a digital-first, ebook version of the textbook due out by early 2018. -

The department currently has 16 full-time faculty and several adjunct or part-time faculty that teach courses for over 500 undergraduates and several hundred graduate (MBA) students. The chair has primary responsibility for staffing assignments, course scheduling, faculty recruiting and management of the department’s operating budget. The chair also serves as the department’s representative, responsible for coordinating with the dean, the academic vice-president and other campus administrators. Finally, the chair is responsible for coordinating department based marketing and recruiting efforts targeted to prospective students.
