I am the Director of Product Management for Vanco’s educational division, representing around $50m in ARR, where I reported to the Chief Product Officer. There I managed a team of four product managers, who in turn each managed one of our SaaS-based educational applications. I am responsible for setting and monitoring team KPIs, mentoring my reports, ensuring that best practices were followed within the team, setting product strategy, performing research, and reporting project status and recommendations to leadership.Created a new after school solution for our core product, and created the plan for sunsetting our existing solution. Performed market research, revenue analysis, client interviews, created the roadmap, the MRD, and wireframes..Product owner for SSO project, enabling single sign-on across all Vanco products.Created and implemented plan to repair relations with a particular submarket at the request of our CEO, which included: product updates; changes to support, client communications, and engineering; and the creation of a customer advisory board. Managed ASAP’s product team up through our acquisition by Great Hill Partners in 2017. Responsible for all product team activities including market research, competitive analysis, pricing, strategy, release management, client communications, and managing the roadmap. Presented at conferences and sat in on numerous sales sales demos. Maintained a close relationship with many customers.Implemented company-wide switch to Scrum, and the corresponding configuration changes to Jira.Identified community arts as a new market for ASAP. Responsible for the design, development, and rollout of a new private lessons management feature to support that market, based on feedback from a group of music schools.Led project to rebuild ASAP and sunset the previous version. Collected customer feedback, created the UI, and worked with a team of 35 distributed developers and QA engineers to complete the project. Managed the beta release, which showed a 34 point increase in our NPS score when compared with the existing product.Helped establish an office in Cancun, staffed with a team of 45 developers and support agents.
