Service included active duty and part-time rolls with the Ohio Army National Guard.Volunteered to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom II (December 2003 – February 2005)Promoted to Sergeant (E-5) while in combat theatre. Tasked to supervise personnel and accomplish mission objectives in a combat environment.Most notable experiences while enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard included being deployed with the 216th Eng BN to Iraq 2003-2005. Deployed to aid in the recovery effort for hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2006 that destroyed the gulf coast.Honorably discharged from active duty service.
