We provide independent and impartial property and construction advice to our client's.Particular focus on the private sector commercial property industry, from managing and coordinating property acquisition portfolio's to surveying small shops and offices prior to acquisiton or lease, managing fit out/refurb contracts and undertaking Development Monitoring for banks and funders. I also particularly enjoy Dilapidations instructions and I offer my services to both Landlord's and Tenant's, subject to appropriate conflict of interest checks.I also firmly believe in the importance of the professional body to which I am a member (RICS) in setting the profesional and ethical standards in my industry. I have presented to RICS matrics members on topics such as Dilapidations and Technical Due Diligence and to banks on Development/Project Monitoring. I currently sit on the Building Surveying Profesional Group Board for Scotland and take part in education career days by manning the RICS stall trying to lure future surveyors into the industry. I am currently assisting with arranging the APC annual conference to be hold at Hampden Park in November 2017 and also a past external examiner for the RICS Dissertation Awards 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. I joined Watts in December 2004, initially as a fresh faced graduate and tea boy to gain some work experience prior to completing my degree in Building Surveying at Heriot Watt University. In May 2005, I joined Watts as a Graduate Building Surveyor following obtaining a 2:1 degree. In November 2008, I qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor.
