As a Tallahassee native (go Noles!), I now reside in Atlanta, GA. During my undergraduate degree at Florida State University, I started my career at a creditors' rights law firm, where I quickly rose from a File Clerk to Bankruptcy Department Supervisor. However, I soon realized that bankruptcy law wasn't my true calling and changed direction.As the former Legislative Coordinator for Greenberg Traurig's Government Law & Policy team, I have extensive experience in governmental affairs and advocacy for various clients and industries. My passion for public policy began while working for Florida Politics, which inspired me to pursue a master's degree in the field. During graduate school, I honed my analytical and research skills and obtained certifications in GIS and Tableau. I am also in the process of publishing my policy analysis titled "Campaign Contributions and Electoral Competitiveness in Florida State Elections: The Effects of Florida's 2013 Campaign Finance Reforms."Moving to Texas with my partner was both daunting and fulfilling. During this transition, I continued to pursue my passion for public policy on a broader scale. The current political climate, increasing polarization, and gridlock impede the policies we need to bring change to our country. Furthermore, antidemocratic systems hinder business growth and success.At Leadership Now, I collaborate with a motivated and innovative team dedicated to safeguarding and revitalizing democracy. With my advocacy, communication, and research experience, I provide valuable tools to various projects advancing our mission. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, reading, supporting local restaurants and breweries, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, or spending time with my four rescue pets.
