As a Partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, I manage patent portfolios for large, multinational corporations and leading research institutions. My clients include Fortune 100 companies, technology sector leaders and universities. I counsel clients on the development and expansion of their IP portfolios. I leverage my education in electrical engineering and work experience in the telecommunication industry to advise clients in establishing and protecting patents related to computer hardware and software, wired and wireless communications, electronics, financial and medical transactions, and display technology.I write opinions, prosecute patents, handle reexaminations, perform clearance studies (for example, freedom to operate), develop and negotiate licensing agreements, perform intellectual property due diligence, manage IP portfolios and conduct intellectual property audits. I am registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
