I have to walk carefully through my house as there are small parts scattered across the floor. I can’t complain, as I was the one who encouraged my children to take apart their toys. I want them to discover the joy and excitement of venturing into the unknown, to get past the fear of not knowing where to start. I want them to experience the pride of accomplishment when they make a new discovery or solve a difficult puzzle.These same things are what have motivated me in my life and my career. I have gravitated toward jobs and experiences that are outside of my comfort zone in an effort to be challenged, to learn something new and broaden my skill sets. This has served me well, as I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, meet and work with some of the most fascinating and intelligent people, and to be involved in mechanical, electrical, software, and business analytics projects over the years. I love what I do and am always excited for the next project, the next challenge, the next opportunity to scatter some more parts across the floor.
