  New 110kv switching station for BGE/Exelon. My contributions to this project account for cost savings through:1. The development and implication of the site specific safety program, resulting in zero record-able incidents during nearly 80,000 man hours of production.2. Identifying and resolving conflicts in design prior to the start of construction.3. Developing pre-construction strategies focusing on design criteria, Client's requirements and contractors' capabilities.4. Assuring regulatory requirements were being met in advance, with proper compliance and permitting, while maintaining an open line of communications with authorities.5. Continuous monitoring and modifying of the production schedule.6. Developing site specific and comprehensive quality control programs, implemented by the contractors from the start of construction through completion.7. Eliminating excessive punch lists through the QC efforts.8. Using specified close out requirements to identify the details the contractors needed to provide, early in the process.9. Respectfully establishing cooperation with all the project team members and stake holders, while focusing on maintaining activities as planned.10. Eliminating any conflict with potential change orders by resolving issues quickly and prior to proceeding with additional, while allowing little or no impact to scheduled activities.Our contract consisted of the civil portion of construction, building the mass concrete foundation structure from below the water table to an elevation above the 500 year flood plain. We designed and built the Gas Insulated Switching (GIS) enclosure, housing the new equipment. Following the completion of construction, I remained on site to assist in the completion of various systems, overseeing all interfacing with the building systems.
