Facilitates sustainable program advancement through fostering training and support mechanisms in locations without current available resources for the repair, maintenance and use of electric vehicles. Represents Maui Electric as a Co-Chair for the Smart Electric Power Alliance. Promotes workplace and managed charging as part of load management to use abundant renewable resources to displace fossil fuel in the transportation sector.

Ensure day-to-day regulatory compliance at the power plants and other areas, relative to Federal, state, and county environmental regulations for air, water, hazardous materials, and noise.Design, oversee implementation of, and carry out tactical environmental compliance programs at the Maui Electric Company's six power generation facilities.

Manage power generation for Maui Electric Company for the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai. Generation services include operation and maintenance of 34 diesel reciprocating internal combustion engines, 5 combustion turbines, 4 steam turbine boilers, 2 heat recovery steam generators, and 1 combined heat and power system. All generation services include integration of one or more renewable power platforms from wind, distributed and localized photovoltaic, hydroelectric and biomass steam which, at times, can account for up to 72% of the total supplied power to the grid.
