I have been an educator since 1996. and I currently serve Science/STEM education leaders, educators, and students as a statewide lead for Washington State LASER and as the Regional Science Coordinator in NE Washington. With a BS in Chemistry and MA in Teaching, I taught high school science and math before entering the non-profit sector, working across the P-20 space (in both informal and formal science education) where I found my heart for our youngest learners. I have been at NEWESD 101 since 2016 and currently lead their P-12 science work as well as collaborating on paraeducator training and school improvement initiatives throughout the 59 schools districts in the northeast region with a special focus on professional learning and support for educators.
