Texas Accounting Firm Expands Operations And Quadruples Profit Thanks To New Strategic Direction
CurrentShannon Badger is a managing partner at Badger & Badger in San Antonio, Texas. She came to me nine months ago. The company had billed $1.2M the previous year, netting only about $200k in profit. In her own words, she called the culture of the company “frantic, over-extended and the team was definitely burned out.” She noted that lack of focus around priorities was a big problem, and there was no strategy. In fact, goals “didn’t exist”. Her or her staff said yes to everything, every project – no matter the size. Nine months later, thanks to my Mastermind coaching program, Shannon has made some serious changes to the company. The business now focuses on clients who need their finances managed year around, and who are willing to spend at least $25k/yearly. She had previously identified these clients, and sold the rest - which amounted to about two-thirds of her company’s clientele. However, those clients were generating far less revenue, so that loss was more than made up by the expansion of services offered to her remaining clients, and the acquisition of new ones. Shannon has also been much strategic in her hiring practices, and has built a relationship with a referral partner. Her work-life balance is much more comfortable now. The company has already hit $2M in revenue in the first year working with me and is on track to double their billing again, and net income is shaping up to be 4x that of last year’s.
