Responsible for executive leadership and oversight of the operations, development, and advancement of the Aquarium of Niagara. Develop and implement the overall vision to advance the organization while coordinating strategy and policy implementationFundraising, financing and project management of $15.0 million in capital improvements; including event space, community welcome plaza, Humboldt penguin habitat, jellyfish gallery, shark and ray interactive touch pool, and various aquatic exhibits Develop ongoing capital improvement projects and coordinate with architects and contractors to formulate dynamic exhibit designs, budgets, and schedulesEnsure that the organization attracts visitors and participants and operates with a high sense of ethics, energy, and financial integrity Identify strategic opportunities and take actions to raise the visibility, reputation and profitability while serving as the principal spokesperson for the organizationLead key donor interactions and cultivate major gifts by fostering positive relationships with existing and prospective donors, as well as cultivating financial support from government, civic, community and philanthropic benefactorsResponsible for managing and developing a paid staff of 70 employees Develop and oversee an annual operating budget of $5 million dollars; including the implementation of new revenue generating programs and activities

Develop, direct, built and maintain all Aquarium operations including project and program development, animal collection management and overseeing all operational departments. Collaborate with and report to professional organizations and colleagues pertaining to the organization’s animal collection.Develop staff in proficiency standards at current level and skills necessary for advancement.
