Dr. Gul Khan graduated in Electrical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in 1982. He completed his Ph.D. at Imperial College, Univ. of London in 1989. Dr. Khan works as a Visiting researcher and lecturer at RMIT University, Melbourne in 1993. He later joined the computer engineering faculty at Nanyang Tech. University, Singapore in 1997. Dr. Khan worked as Associate Professor of computer engineering at University of Saskatchewan before joining Ryerson University. He served as the founding Program Director of computer engineering at Ryerson Univ. from 2004 to 2015. Dr. Khan is the author/co-authors of more than 130 research papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings in addition to editing a book on embedded systems. Currently, he is a Professor of computer engineering at Ryerson Univ. His research interests include System-on-Chip Design, CPU-GPU and GPGPU Systems, NoC Design, Multi/many Core Systems, Heterogeneous Computing, Hardware/Software Co-design, Real time Embedded Systems, Smart RFID Systems, Machine Vision and Intelligent Systems.
