Gurdeep heads the AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) at Tata Communications Limited. In this role he is responsible for identifying and executing AI projects across business units of the company. He is focused on using AI to for digital transformation by creating AI embedded products for the company, data monetization and AIOPs He has worked on creating alliances with academic and technology partners, creating and delivering training programs on AI to business leaders & data scientists as well as being responsible for community building for data science teams embedded in business units within Tata Communications. A problem solver at heart he strongly believes that any technology or innovation is a means to an end that being to make things faster, simpler or more efficient and he thrives when trying to figure out how to make that happen.Over the past 18 years he has worked across AI, product management, strategy development and sales in IT & Financial Services. He has been directly responsible for leading data science projects, developing cloud products, making investment decisions, evaluating M&A opportunities and sales of IT Services. He was a visiting researcher at Harvard, holds a certificate in Data Science from Harvard University, an MBA and a CFA. In his free time he rides anything with two wheels, explores fat tails and writes about his interests.
