• Plan, source and purchase raw materials, finished products and services through RFI/RFP/RFQ (Request for Information, Proposal and Quote) processes to reduce lead times and maintain maximum production uptime.
• Ensure all incoming products and materials meet industry standards.
• Develop and maintain a strong and diverse supplier base covering all aspects of the Investment Casting and manufacturing industry
• Establish logistics of delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact suppliers
• Conduct supplier audits in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
• Establish, maintain and review BOM within ERP system to ensure data accuracy and correct processing of orders.

• Analyse chemical compositions of pre- and post pour metal samples to ensure the castings meet the correct specifications
• Preform sample checks on all incoming raw metal alloys to ensure it meets the required AMS and customer specifications before releasing it for production
• Maintain all documentation and logs relating the alloys and job in production
• Calculate required elemental additions to ensure the cast alloy is within the correct AMS and customer specification limits.

• Heat treat and temper all aluminum castings as per AMS and customer specifications
• Monitor heat treat oven to ensure correct parameters to maximize mechanical properties
• Preform hardness and tensile tests to verify correct heat treatment.

• Organized department workflow by sorting jobs using the FIFO method and preparing weekly department schedules, revising as necessary.
• Trained new employees on health and safety procedures and how to correctly operate equipment while keeping current employees up to date and refreshing their knowledge
• Enforced safety guidelines and company standards
• Maintained staff morale by setting personal and department goals, incentivising quality and efficient work.

• Preform LPI (Liquid Penetrant Inspection) on castings to look for defects within castings for various industries such as aerospace, nuclear, defence and mining
• Held NDT Level II certification
• Examine all castings for potential defects and possible rework to repair defects
• Utilize various scientific instruments to examine castings for physical and mechanical tolerances
• Test hardness and tensile properties of castings to ensure compliance with required AMS and customer standards

• Grind castings to remove excess material from cut off process, ensuring the final dimensions are within tolerances and specifications
• Clean and remove leftover shell material from castings that remained from knock off process
