● Conducted various community-facing communications campaigns (town halls, door to door, consultations with community leaders, and events) to understand constituent concerns in order to advocate for them through Question Period, speeches and debates in Parliament, and in the media ● Managed communications throughout the 2-year COVID-19 crisis in Brampton, having to respond quickly and effectively under high pressure with time-sensitive constraints● Developed strategies with communications teams to respond to the various aspects of the crisis (high positivity rates, workplace outbreaks, underfunded healthcare systems, and fatalities)● Collaborated with advocates as a spokesperson in a successful campaign to reframe Brampton’s high positivity rates away from community blame and towards systemic inequities● Led and executed a campaign alongside healthcare professionals, advocates and other elected officials to substantially increase Brampton’s vaccine centres and supply during the COVID-19 crisis● Worked to manage relationships of stakeholders across public and private sectors, labour, Indigenous Communities, and more, including consulting them on legislation, understanding their concerns and advocating for their positions● Managed ~1000 volunteers to directly engage 60k+ constituents over 4 years
