Oversight of IT subsidiaries in the Group which were later merged into a common IT organisation.Transformed IT from a simple service department to a more mature business-enabling function. Launched multiple strategic initiatives including an ERP revamp across the various airline and ground services depts.Some key initiatives - CRM, Loyalty, Campaign management, Reservation/ IBE and Mobile apps, Fuel efficiency, ERP HCM, Productivity platform, Private Cloud, Managed Security Services, Enterprise Backup among others.Built and led a strong new team including remote teams at the various airline bases, and set up a robust foundation for the delivery of IT to the Group. Strengthened the end-to-end IT function – right from budgeting till business benefit realization.

Strong domain knowledge in these critical areas of an airline.Created a Pricing automation charter that served as the basic reference guidebook for a number of years subsequently for delivering systems for Emirates Airline pricing. Implemented the first Pricing system for Emirates.Established the first successful offshore support and development team for the Skywards (customer loyalty program) systems.Solution design for all customer management initiatives – Loyalty, Customer Journey, Customer Centricity etc. as part of a multi-million dollar program EmPact designed to transform the core Commercial systems of Emirates.Established the first ‘Emirates Group Innovation Lab’ at EGHQ to drive business value through technology innovation, in partnership with Big Tech companies and international universities.CISO for Emirates Group for ~5 years - accountable for IT Security policies, controls, operations, technologies and awareness, IT risk management. Managed to counter multiple security incidents during this period including a massive cyberattack on Emirates Group’s reputed brands.Selected for the Group’s coveted Leadership Development Program viz., ELDP in 2013. Won the Cohort’s best project award for ‘optimisation of inter-terminal connectivity’ which was implemented and delivered immediate efficiencies at Dubai International Airport.Set up multiple Centers of Excellence - Mobility, UI/ UX, Collaboration, Document Mgt.Governance of IT functions w.r.t. stds (CMMi, ITIL), IT management solutions, tools.Set up Enterprise Architecture services and governance.

NSDL – Selected as one of the 2-member core start-up team for the first and only depository in India in line with the freshly introduced Depositories Act, 1996. Delivered a fully functioning organization end-to-end in 1 year. Delivered business and operational models, business processes, recruitment and training of the project and operational teams. Extensive evaluation and implementation of the underlying IT depository system.NSE – Joined the core start-up team. Managed Wholesale Debt Market operations published analysis and research on Indian wholesale debt markets. Implementation of the first automated trading system in India. NSE - Managed equity clearing & settlement systems. Set up operational team to neutralize fake/ forged securities.
